How to get fit and loose a bit of weight?

I want to get fit, loose a little weight and improve my health.

However, I can’t afford the gym at the moment and would like to do this at home.

Going out running is difficult for me as I have to stay in and exercise when my kids are in bed.

Any tips?
Apologies for my shitty spelling… I confirm I want to lose weight not loose it!

I’m in your same situation: No gym, and don’t really wanna go outside to run. How I’ve reached my ideal weight is by dancing! 🙂 You can do it at home, it’s good cardio, works out your entire body…and it’s fun!

I also do crunches and lift a 5lbs weight (+ eat right), all in my room w/out paying to go to the gym.

It is impossible for anybody to loose weight.
You may be able to lose weight by exercising, for one thing.

Pilates or yoga can be considered to get fit and lose weight as a bonus.
They won’t cost too much to get started.

    It really worked on me.

Eating healthy food, can help us to get a healthy shape.

Here’s what I will recommend for you:

    Get Fit:
    – 3 sets of 20 rep push ups
    – 3 sets of 20 rep diamond push ups (form a diamond with your hand in front of your chest)
    – 3 sets of 20 rep chair dips (i dont know how to explain this, go online to see pictures)
    – 3 sets of 20 sit ups
    – 3 sets of 50 ab bicycles (count one to the left, one to the right… it’s really just 25 reps)
    – 3 sets of wall sit for 1 minute
    >This will work out your upper back, arms, abs, obliques, and thighs respectively.

+ As you get used to your routine, you should add one more set to each rep +

    Lose a little weight:

Sad to say, you won’t lose as much weight as you would with running or some sort of cardio. Since we’ll have to make do, here are some ideas to get your heart beat pumping:

    – 4 sets of 100-count jumping jacks
    – 5 minutes of jumping rope
    – 5 sets of 1-minute mountain climbers (look online for pictures on how to do it)
    – 5 minutes of jogging in place/high knees
    – and of course, Run, whenever you can!

    Improve your health:

You have the workout to get healthy, but you can get healthier by having a great diet…

    – Try to eat a HIGH fiber everything – ESPECIALLY breakfast. It will keep you fuller, longer
    – Eat high protein foods within an hour after your excercise. It’s Protein Power Hour
    – Stay away from sugary foods. It spikes up your insulin levels, making you store more fat
    – Eat wisely and in portion. Never over indulge… except for one of those days
    – Wheat products are your friend. So are green, leafy veggies
    – It is not a sin to eat carbs, you should eat some every now and then.
    – Protein is your friend

That’s is all. Remember, muscle burns fat the most because that is where it gets the energy to repair itself… Hope it works

Oh, and when you can, invest in some 5 or 10lb. dumbells.

Why not pick up one or 2 exercise DVDs? You can do them in your legroom and they tend to be full body workouts. Check no Amazon.co.uk or similar, they send to sell them for £6-15.

Another good idea is to perhaps try to do something with the kids?Have the kids ride their bikes and you can jog next to them or go for a walk/hike together. Great way for all of you to get out and get some fresh air, excercise and time together. I do this with my neice and nephew all the time and they love it.

    Good luck
