How many calories should I have in a day?

I am 13 years old and 96 pounds. How many calories should I have in a day?? I need to be on a diet but idk how many calories a day! Help plzzzz!

    13 years old, 96 pounds.. That is pretty thin, don’t try to lose more weight. For now, eat as many calories (yes you heard right) as you can until you are about 120 pounds or so. That is about the right weight.

    you dont need to be on a diet and i think you know that. since your body is developing so rapidly you need to eat more than adults and children. you should be eating atleast 2000 and once you hit 18 you should increase to 2400

    I am 13, 5’0 and 95 pounds….almost exactly like you, and I try to not so much as focus on how many calories I eat as much as what type of food I am eating, for example I eat a bowl of cheerios for a snack or cheese instead of chocolate or chips…I have no idea how many calories I eat in one day but it doesn’t really matter since we’re still growing…..
