How many calories should I be eating to lose weight?

I am 142lbs and 5ft 6in, and 15 years-old. I am in the last stage of losing weight, my goal weight is 135. I am counting the calories that I eat. How many should I be eating to lose 1 lb a week?

you should be eating less calories than you are burning. that is definition of weight loss. find out what you exert while working out, and you have your (rough estimate) answer. but that answer would be a closer estimate anyone could give you on here.

3500 calories=1 pound, so to lose 1 pound a week, you have to eat 500 calories less than what you normally eat. Good Luck!

the normal weight you can lose is up to 2 lbs a week..since the average calorie diet is 2000 you could cut it to like maybe 1000 or 900

It takes 3,500 calories to make one pound. You have to take in less than that. Best of luck

You should be fine on 1800 calories per day and a little bit of weight training. Since you’re at the end of weight loss, its naturally going to slow down…so you need to make sure to be active.
