How many calories should I be eating to gain weight?

I want to gain weight, I’m 5’2″ and about 93-95 pounds. I am stick skinny with barely any curves and I’m perfectly healthy. I was wondering how many calories would be enough for me to start gaining at 10 to 15 pounds. How many calories a day? How many a week? Also how do I count calories for foods Such as pizza and chicken?

If your trying to gain weight don’t try to get extra calories from junk food. Gain weight by eating LOTS of protien, like nuts. Also you could try to build some light muscle by exersicing. Running, swimming, dancing, light weight training ect.

lots of protein. Count everything you eat. Even the small stuff. GNC sells a great shake mix that is claiming to help people gain weight/mass.

Dont give all of your attention to proteins. High protein diets have a thermogenic affect which is not exacty what your looking for at this point. If I was cutting, my diet would be unusually high in proteins due to the lack of carbs in my diet, to prevent gluconeogenisis. (conversion of proteins and fats into glucose) Find a baseline,2000 cals. at 50% carbs 30% protein 20%fats. People think that if they eat carbs that its going to be turned into fat and is highly overblown. The body doesnt pick and choose which macronutrient its going to use for fuel. It uses all sources all of the time. If that were true, you could cut out carbs completly and lose tons of body fat instead of the all to common water weight that people lose, only to gain it back and then some. Should I keep going? 🙂
