It’s not that simple, there is very little evidence that reducing calories works in the long term.

this page will tell you exactly what you want to know, but even more important than counting calories is making sure you make generally healthy choices, etc., but I’m sure you know that 🙂

EDIT: I just plugged in your numbers for you, and you need to eat about 1500 calories a day to reach 115lbs by march 3, 2010. I assume it would be less calories for sooner. I basic rule of thumb though is that you need at least 1200 calories a day, which can be very difficult w/o exercise….

It will take you a LONG ass time. I’m 13 years old and when I was 12, I weighed 160 something pounds, I walked every night for like 2-3 miles (walked pretty fast) and in one year I only lose 10 pounds. Then, the beginning of this year I was around 150, I ran every morning at 6 before I went to school and I lost another 10 pounds, and now I’m all in shape, with a six pack and everything. The only issue is if you want to keep losing weight, you’ll have to exercise even more. And don’t try to go on a diet.. after your diet you’ll just eat the same and gain it all back, change your eating forever.

Calories, I don’t know, but I ate alot, I just ran 1 mile a day and it all balanced, What I do is eat a lot around 12, eat alot again around 4-5, and leave it the rest of the day. That’s just me because I’m going through “puberty” or I’m growing up which makes me need more, and my metabolism speeds up whenever I exercise. Just eat healthy and exercise more than an hour a week, you wont lose anything with some measy 1 hour. Especially when you want to lose 35 pounds.. At least 1 hour or more a day. Swim or run, do it in the morning before you eat anything.

Aside from the info above, the calories you require on a daily basis also depend on your frame. You may have a slight built or may be athletic. The site below offer free tools to calculate your daily calorie requirements (see MER) and then track your intake on a daily basis. It will also suggest an ideal weight for you. To lose weight safely at approximately a pound a week – try to eat about 300-500 calories less than your MER every day. Never go below 1200 to protect you metabolism.
