    What do you mean on your back. You meant the backside. If so, try a cross trainer. They are effective toners. Works for the thighs and backside.

    Unfortunately, the body doesn’t loose fat in one specific area. So to loose back fat you need to loose fat every where else as well. The reason certain areas of the body look better than the other places is how much muscle is located in that region.

    If you want to loose weight, and see results you need to do some cardio. What I mean is running, eliptical, or some other way to get your heart going and keep it pumping hard. For example, I go on the eliptical machine for 20 minutes everyday and lost 42 lbs. in like four weeks. The key is finding your target heart rate. This is the right amount of heart beats per minute that allows you to loose the maximum amount of fat. The eliptical machine has sensors that tell me when I reach my target heart rate, so that machine does it for me.

    Also, I would do some exercises to increase the back side muscles. If your a girl, do really light weight a ton of times. So, to make your behind tighter do 50 body squats three times a week. If you want to make you upper back tighter go to a gym and either do some pull ups or if your not strong enough yet, Lat pull downs. It’s the same motion just less weight.

    You cannot selectively lose fat from a certain area except through liposuction. Lifting weights for a targeted area WILL NOT WORK.

    Usually, the areas your body prefers to store fat WILL be the hardest to lose from. But this doesn’t mean it is impossible.

    There is no special formula to lose fat from any one area. The only formula is this general one:

    calories burned > calories eaten = fat loss overall

    Eat less, eat more healthily, and have a well-rounded workout consisting of fairly intense cardio for 30+ minutes and whole body weight training 3 times a week minimum.

    John Q is incorrect that men and women need to train differently for this type of problem. I have plenty of experience working professionally as a trainer in this area with both genders for 6 years. Plus, he gives the worst advice ever for women: to lift LIGHT weight TONS of time. What a waste of time! Completely wrong. Women do not have the hormones to “get big,” end of story.

    5. Stay away from sweetened bottle drinks, especially sodas. Hey all those colas and fizzy drinks are sweetened with sugar and sugar means calories. The more you can cut out on these sweetened bottle drinks, the better for you. So if you must drink sodas, then stick to diet sodas.

    6. Include in your diet things that contain more water like tomatoes and watermelons. These things contain 90 to 95 % water so that there is nothing that you have to lose by feasting on them. They fill you up without adding to the pounds.

    7. Eat fresh fruit instead of drinking fruit juice. Juice is often sweetened but fresh fruits have natural sugars. When you eat fruit, you are taking in a lot of fiber, which is needed by the body, and fruits of course are an excellent source of vitamins.

    8. If you do have a craving for fruit juice then go for fresh fruit juice instead of these that contain artificial flavors and colors. Or even better, try making your own fruit juice taking care not to sweeten it with too many calories.

    9. Choose fresh fruit to processed fruits. Processed and canned fruits do not have as much fiber as fresh fruit and processed and canned fruits are nearly always sweetened.

    10. Increase your fiber intake. Like I mentioned, the body needs a lot of fiber. So try to include in your diet as many fruits and vegetables as you can.

    11. Go crazy on vegetables. Vegetables are your best bet when it comes to losing pounds. Nature has a terrific spread when it comes to choosing vegetables. And the leafy green vegetables are your best bet. Try to include a salad in you diet always.
