How do you know if you are dieting too hard and causing your metabolism to slow down?
I have been on a diet, and have lost 4Kg (8 pounds) of weight over the past 8 weeks.
However in the past week I have felt more hungry, and my weight has stopped falling. Is it possible that I am over-doing it, causing my metabolism to slow down (and slowing down the fat-burning process), so preventing nett weight loss

you need to be aiming at about only 2lbs of fat loss a week for overall weight loss to be sustainable, if you exceed this then as soon as you take your foot off the pedal the weight will come back on, moderation is important!!
hope this helps x

How often are you eating? Ideally you should eat 5 small meals a day. This helps keep your metabolism going. You should also eat within 30 minutes of getting up in the morning. If you don’t or if you wait too long to wait during the day, the body starts storing the food because it’s afraid you’re starving the body.

You need to be eating healthy things such as lean meats and whole wheat crap and fruits and veggies. Obviously portion control needs to happen also. That combined with good hearty excercise like sprints and hills and weights and you’ll shred those extra lbs in no time.
