How do I lose some weight?..healthy?

Im 5’3, I weigh 117 pounds, and Im seventeen years old. I would say I look average but I do have a small pooch on my tummy lol. How can I lose 7 pounds? will 7 pounds make a noticeable difference? can running/walking 1 mile daily be enough? is it true that drinking a lot of water helps you lose weight? I’d figure you just gain water weight lol. what foods should I stay away from? Thanks people 😀

    1. Since you’re only 5’3 seven pounds will be a noticeable difference.
    2. If it’s mostly just on your stomach I would just work on doing some ab excersizes. Your weight is not anywhere near overweight.

Carbo, for instance I noticed I started gaining belly fat when I was eating plain popcorn, popped in Olive oil and sprinkled parmessan cheese. Yummy but yucky for belly!

look up the natural diet. start eating Unprocessed foods. walking more in general will help your metabolism. Eating tons of small meals a day, instead of 3 big meals helps too. trying using a colon cleanse!

    take the stairs!

If you want to lose weight fast, trying puking.

7 pounds would probably make a noticeable difference. Running a mile a day would not make much of a difference, but if you added resistance exercises like sit-ups it would make more of a change. Drinking lots of water does help you lose weight, because it speeds up your metabolism. You won’t gain water weight because it goes right through you lol. Foods to stay away from- anything with a lot of fat and oils. Good luck 🙂

Actually, drinking more water will help you lose weight. Water is helpful all around in your body, it fuels your body. Water will give you more energy to do the things you want to do, and it will also help you eat less (many times, people mistake dehydration for hunger, and unknowingly start stuffing their faces).

I don’t think that just running/walking will be enough. I think you should work on training your body all around. This means situps, pushups, etc. I know that sounds boring, but it doesn’t have to be. Grab a friend or something, if you can find some cheap yoga mats, buy a few, and set them up in a large room or your back yard. You can work out while having fun with a friend.

Something I also suggest is endurance/strength training. Basically, this entails doing set numbers of exercises in succession, and running. For example, do 25 situps, 25 pushups, 25 leg lifts, 25 fire hydrants on each leg (get yourself in a “dog” position, and just lift up each leg to the side), and then run for a minute or two. Repeat about three times. It’s a DAMN good workout, even if it might be a little tough.

Make sure you stretch after each workout too, and don’t strain yourself.

As for food, eat smaller amounts more often. Maybe three medium sized meals a day, little snacks in between. Again, plenty of water. You don’t need to completely give up fatty, sweet foods (in other words, the good stuff ;P), but it would help. Fruits and vegatables.

Losing a little weight might be hard, but you’ll be both a little healthier, and you’ll feel good about yourself afterwards. Just put in the effort, and you’re golden. Good luck!

About the kinds of food you should avoid, fatty foods, junks, fast foods e.g burger and most of all stop eating late at night.concerning your belly fat make sure you do sit ups exercise to burn the fat off.

Weight loss is a tough challenge for many people and it is easy to get confused as to what can work well for you. The key to losing weight long term is to make sure that you are burning more calories overall than you are consuming. Regular exercise is key to burning more calories each day so make sure that you are exercising properly both with aerobics and with strength training.

    Eat the Right Way:

Most people either eat too much or too little. The amount you eat should be dependent upon your size and height. There are a lot of different and contradicting dieting techniques and strategies out there and it is easy to get confused about what can work well for you. It is important to make sure that you are consuming nutritious foods so be sure to eat lots of live fruits and vegetables which are rich in nutrition and will help to keep you strong and healthy.
