How do I lose my belly fat and get better abs?

I work out, and I can do a lot of things that involve strangth. I’m not happy with my body image, and I’m on a diet. I need work out tips on how I’m going to lose my belly fat. I’d like hard abs aswell. I’m hoping to get some web sites and types of excersises that work. I don’t want any stupid answers. Please keep it logical. Thank you.

    well first you need to do some cardio exercises either at the gym or outside running or cycling.
    when you have that going well, you will begin to loose the belly fat which will enable the abs lines to be visible.

    here are some ab exercse ideas:
    sit ups
    crunches
    reverse crunches
    leg raises
    knee raises
    plank

    if you do a combination of these along with the cardio, you will loose the fat and your abs will become defined.
    This may take around 3+ months until the effects are visible, so hang in there and work hard!!

    swimming is the BEST way to gain muscles and shred fat away its the best exercise for cardio vascular and plus u use ur abs A LOT when u try to float urself and keep urself leveled while u swim
    it works pretty much everysingle muscle in your body but u have to swim atleast 30 mins a day SWIMMING tht doesnt include resting time total time u swim shuold be 30 mins atleast
    if u dont like swimming doing lots of cardio vasular things such as the bike or running on treadmill helps u lose that fat and u can do lots of core work to strengthen ur abs i mean everyone has abs but they have a layer of fat covering it thats why skinny people have abs they arnt hard maybe sometimes but they are very visible cos of their lack of fat go to http://www.bodybuilding.com and go to the exercises look at the abs work out theres plenty but swimming is the best trust me

    I normally jump right to the cycling or bicycle questions. Your question caught my eye before I could get there. Diet alone will not reduce belly fat. Slim it down some, but not disappear.

    Now, I’m no exercise guru…but, in the last year alone I’ve gone from 310 to 250 simply by riding a bicycle. I have degenerative arthritis in my lower back & need a cane to walk anything over one block. My Doc describes it as different “load bearing joints” as to why I can’t walk well, but can ride a bike…specifically a good Hybrid bike. Link below.

    My entire body has slimmed down & toned up. Granted, I’m still overweight…but headed in the right direction.

    Ok here is what you should focus on:

    1. The right diet
    You can do a thousand ab exercises but unless you are eating the right foods, in the right quantity and at the right time you are not getting anywhere.

    Eat foods such as high quality protein (lean meats, eggs,..), veggies and fish (salmon, tuna,…). Also eat lots of nuts and seeds as well as fruits (especially berries).

    When I say the right quantity, you should not abuse even with the best quality foods. Try reducing little by little your daily intake and you will see that your body will adjust. You will also have more energy. Stay away from claims such as “eat all you want and still lose weight”

    Try eating your smallest meal at night time. The worst thing you could do is eating a big dinner and then sleeping right away.

    2. The right exercises.
    It might be a surprise to you but normal crunches are NOT the best exercises for developing strong and eye catching abs.

    Deep breathing and isometric exercises are great way to train your abs.
