How do I lose belly fat quickly?

I am 6’0 and weigh 179 lbs.

I just started lifting again, and I’m trying to get a six pack. I can see my abs somewhat, but I need to lose some belly fat for it to be really defined. What would be the best way to lose a lot of belly fat by… August 26th? Info on diet and exercise would be great. I have accessibility to a punching bag and a treadmill, which is more effective?

I would do the treadmill, lots of cardio. Also find some good ab exercises like crunches, flutter kicks, bridge, ect. also when eating make low fat choices. Belly fat is really hard to lose, but keep working hard. Good luck.

A lot of people really need to chill. If you are doing it for health benefits, prepare to be patient. Diet properly, drink a lot water and exercise properly… it’s the only way to do it properly.

Use everything you got! ;] Treadmill for running (though i recommend going outside at a park to run is better) and a punching bag will surely burn those calories.

Well, removing the belly fat requires diet and exercise. Eat approx. 1100-1200 calories a day and run!

Be sure to run. Running is the best way to burn off the calories. And for your abs, do sit ups. Different types too. Try to YOUTUBE it. You will find lots of great exercises to do. Trust me. Find one you’re confortable with and go for it!

The more muscle you build the more calories you burn because those muscles eat calories like nothing. But remember, while your calories are being burned you dont want to put more in so stick with healthy food!

So Run, use your punching bag. You can also, bike, swim, hike, work out (pushups, lift weights, situps/crunches, lunges, swats)

    Keep going!

    Goodluck, dont over strain yourself.

don’t listen to those freaks. im gonna give it to you plain and simple.

first, the treadmill is more effective, but the punching bag isn’t useless though.

you have to run. A LOT. the best type of running for losing fat is interval running. like running for 1 minute, rest for 30 seconds, run for 1.5 minutes, rest for 30 seconds, run for 2 minutes, rest for 30 seconds…and so on…

That’ll take care of the belly fat, but for the six pack you have to do a lot of reps with ab exercises. heavy weights won’t be ideal because that will get you muscle mass not definition. there are tons of ab workouts you can do on the floor without any equipment.

the other thing you have to do is watch your eating. from now until august 26th, don’t drink soda, alcohol, non-organic juice, or anything unhealthy, and try to keep most of your eating to foods with a lot of carbs, like granola bars, cereal, bread, pasta…and no junk food. that will just cancel out the work youre putting in at the gym.

If you push yourself to the limit almost every day, you’ll have that 6 pack by august 26th

It is not possible to spot reduce fat in just one part of your body, like your belly. In order to lose belly fat you will need to lose the fat all over your body.

In short you may need to start:

    1) Eating healthier, this means:

    Eat smaller meals
    Eat more meals a day
    Don’t starve yourself
    Eat more vegetables and fruit
    Drink more water
Less sugars and empty calories (less soft drinks, cakes, cookies)
Switch to whole wheat versions of your bread and pasta, brown rice instead of white rice

    2) Exercising:

Forget crunches, crunches work your ab muscles but they don’t burn enough calories to lose belly fat, if you do hundreds of crunches daily you will have great abs but you wont see them under your belly fat.
Prefer full body exercises they burn the most calories and increase you metabolism for a few hours after your workout.
Get a training partner or a fitness trainer, a very worthwhile investment – of the money you save on junk food for example =)

Try also to reduce stress and get enough sleep. Both of these are related to weight gain and emotional eating.

I wish you all the best,
