How did you lose weight after pregnancy?

I am exercising and eating better (water, salads etc..) but I am actually gaining weight now! (like a pound every 2 weeks!) I am 7 lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight and used to always be petite. Did anyone do something special to lose weight? (other than breastfeeding) Is this normal because it has only been 2 months since I had my son? Any similiar experiences?

yes i walked and watched what i ate and i gained weight.
drink water because it helps your liver ‘pick out’ fat particles so they leave your body. i lost a lot of weight by doing the exercises with baby in my arms so it added more weight to my legs or tumyy

There is a belt that you put on to put you back to your original state after pregnancy Ask the Hospital or pharmacy if they have one.

i had my son 2 months ago and i can’t get past the 7 lbs either! lol, its right at my hips to, first to come in and last to go! i am starting to walk a little more but it isn’t helping the area! i can’t exercise because of my c-section still and i’ve always been active. Other than exercise and eating healthy i dont know what else you can do , try doing exercises that target the area you need help with. If it isn’t noticable where you need help try just running and cardio and PLENTY of water and it should come off with time. 2 months is great for getting that far though!

Although now that my daughter is 3 years old and i am right back to what i weighed at 9 months, I did lose back to my original weight by my 6 week check upjust by drinking distilled water and trying to do a little walking. Stay consistent with it. I didnt and gained every bit of it back. 🙁

I’m in the same boat. I lost 10lbs and then I started exercising and eating right and I gained 3 in 2 weeks! Everyone tells me it’s because I’m gaining muscle. My pants are looser so I’m trying to go by my measurements instead of the scale.

First watch what you eat. Drink lots of water. Try to eat little to no junk food and sugar, choose healthy snacks instead; ie: fruits, vegetables, cheese, milk or juice. Limit your food intake when you eat, take small to medium size servings and NEVER go back for seconds, skip dessert most of the time.

Most important start a workout of some sort as soon as your doctor says its safe. Pick something you like to do running, speed walking, yoga, weight lifting, swimming, what ever you enjoy, or a combination of them. Just be sure that you do a warm up and cool down and get your heart rate up for at least 30 – 40 min. Try to work out at least 5 days out of the week ,7 if you have time, for at least an hour a day.

It can be hard to find the time with a new baby. I have found its easiest when daddy is home and can watch the baby for me while I work out and shower. I am breastfeeding which makes it even harder so i pump a bottle during the day and during work out time, I work out every night, its bottle time and daddy can feed the baby a bottle if he is hungry. You can even do some things like squats with your baby in your arms this just adds weight resistance making it more effective.

Remember it took 9 months to make a baby expect it to take 9-12 months to lose most the weight and regain the muscle tone you had before you had the baby. I have gotten back to 130 lbs with 4 of my kids, and am starting over after the newest, (6 weeks old) doing the things I mentioned above.

    Good luck

I am a mother of three, and I agree that it sure isn’t easy to lose weight right after the baby.
When you get a minute, check out this website… http://fatlossfactorurrebate.weebly.com

    Best of luck….
