There are a few ways to tell, but the way I do it is to check my body fat percentage and weight at my gym, or you can check at the doctors. Then at the end of the month, check again and if you have gained weight without raising your body fat percentage then you have definitely put on some lean muscle. However, you have to be working out pretty hardcore to see results. Good luck!

Work out your biceps, isolate your triceps, and work out as much of your body as you can. Do wrist curls to build forearms. It took me about 6 months to notice a significant difference with my arms.

easy
take measurements
write them down
and test it every 2 weeks
if you dont grow within a month
your either not eating enough
lifting wrong
not switching up your workouts
or overtraining
