How can I lose weight without sacrificing muscle mass or strength?

Im 5ft and 8 in and weight around 145. I want to lose atleast 5-8 lbs of pure body fat. But I’ve heard that when you lose weight you also lose muscle mass and strength? Is this true? So how can I prevent myself from losing the mass of my muscle and strength while losing the fat.

    buy whey power and make smoothies. It has protein for you , and will help you to lose weight because you will want to eat alot

    If you want to just lose body fat, you’ll have to exercise enough to keep your current muscles the same. This will probably be a bit more than you usually exercise if you go on a diet.

    low-carb diets also help with the body fat losing, but you’ll still have to add some exercise to keep from losing your muscles.

    I bet a body building magazine would have some tips for this type of thing.

    You might not believe this, but if you stick to a healthy dietary habits by eating small meals throughout the day like every 3 hours, protein shakes and copious amounts of water you will lose body fat and maintain size.     5.Abs: when you are relaxing like watching TV if you sit it a position like this your abs will burn fat _/. Also slow leg lifts help too.

    6.Thyroid?:If you do not lose any weight in 5 weeks ask your doctor if you have thyroid.

    Just work out! you know, what you heard wasn’t true. when you lift dumbells, you gain more muscle mass and strength.
    or just order one of those weight loss things on the T.V. (the one that makes you eat and lose weight)
