How can i lose weight safely and keep it off?

I am 17 years old 5’3″ 112 lbs. In order to continue to cheer i need to weight about 105. I have been trying to lose weight since march and really have seen no results. I eat according to the special K diet and work out for at least an hour every day. I have recently begun running about 4 miles a day if not more. I still cannot lose weight. What so I do from here without starving myself. I still have to have energy to cheer and tumble 4 days a week.

    DONT LOOSE WEIGHT YOUR underweightnow, GAIN waeight , u shuld weight at least 130lbs. IF there serious about being unhealthy to stay on the team then u need to quit and report it thats just plain wrong.

    I assume you have a bad metabolism.
    Maybe consider green tea, which will speed up your metabolism.
    Other than that I have no idea what so ever.

    Try mind over matter. Do yoga and stop being stressed. When you’re running your 4 miles a day, say, “I’m losing weight, I’m losing weight..” It’d be a cool experiment 😀

    You should definitely not starve youself. That’s the biggest mistake you can make.

    The reason why you’re probably not losing weight is because of all that working out and a non nutritious diet.
    Even though the special k diet is good, it is lacking in nutrients. In order for your body to function properly, you need a wide range of foods and well balanced meals.
    Try to get off the Special K diet….(because all it really consists of is cereal and protein water)
    Eat some vegetables, lean protein and dairy. Don’t forget your carbs!
    You’ll need them to cheer.
    Try to have small portioned, well balanced meals,
    Another reason why you’re probably not losing weight is because of your exercising habits.
    All that running and working out makes you gain muscle mass, which makes you put on a little weight.
    So maybe you should switch up your workouts… day, you should run, and the next, you should go to the gym and do something other than the treadmill.

    Another reason why you’re probably not seeing results is because you simply don’t need to lose weight.
    It is harder for naturally skinny people to lose weight.

    DONT STARVE yourself….your metabolism will get so messed up and you will probably be kicked off the cheer team because of your lack of energy.

    P.S. That cheer team you speak of must be really messed up..if they accept people according to thier weight.

    If your body stopped dropping those pounds, then obviously it is sending you a message- no more weight loss! The healthiest way I have seen to lose weight, and keep it off, is by using weight watchers system. It keeps you full, healthy, and teaches you how to eat right! I think you are fine at your current weight, and if cheering is making you obsess over 7 pounds…maybe its time to look into other hobbies, or at least cheer with someone else who isn’t going to make you do all this to your body, at 17 when you are still developing.

    First of all, try switching to 100% pure oatmeal for breakfast instead of special K 🙂 Losing weight is not as hard as people think, in fact, it can be pretty easy. Just cutting SODA and sugary drinks from your diet COMPLETELY is just one awesome way to lose weight fast easy and healthily. (I lost 10 pounds alone only with that one change) That along with the other tips I’m going to share below and you will be on your way to easily losing the weight and keeping it off.

    As cliche as it may sound you gotta eat your veggies. They are amazingly good for you, also raw nuts (almonds are best) fruits, and 100% whole grain breads instead of white flours (white flour is very bad for you, read up on it if you get the chance!) Try and stay away from fried foods and fast food as much as possible, and other empty calories and foods that provide you no nutrients, like ice cream/candy/cake etc. Common sense goes a long way with what foods to eat and how to be healthy, so use it 🙂

    Building healthy eating habits and keeping the weight off in the long term is what you should really strive for. Also, make sure you don’t count calories, it can drive you CRAZY! Just eat GOOD calories, and when your satisfied, stop eating. Try to eat more meals a day and portion them smaller, it really is proven to speed up your metabolism and burn fat way faster. If you mix this in with the other things I’ve shared, you will be on your way to easily losing weight and keeping it off.

    Just be persistent, set goals, make little changes and stick with them. You will get to where you want to be. You really have to want it, I did, and I’m at my goal weight now.
