How can I lose weight fast and make sure it stays off?

I’ll be 16 in October. I’m about 5 feet 5 inches and I weigh about 170 pounds. I want to get down to about 145 pounds. How can I do this by October, and make sure the weight stays off? Is there special things I should do everyday? Oh I am also currently playing softball until the end of July, and then it starts up again at the end of August.

What worked for me was Weight Watchers and doing Pilates for about 30 mn every day or so. Just eating Weight Watchers will do the trick though even without the excersize.

Im 14 and nearly 15 and ive just lost 2 stone in 6 months; all i did was eat crackers; seriously it works. I also cut back on the junk i was eating, eg, Chocolate bars and sweets. Sit-ups also help tighten yours stomach and help you loose weight.

Sounds exactly like my problem. I’m 5ft4 and was 187. This product really worked for me. It’s been almost a month and a half and I’ve dropped down to 173. Good luck to you!

Well, just by living a healthier life.
Make sure your eating foods that obviously have lower calories and sugar but really watch for high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils.

Also, try to work out daily, like exercise. Do a little jogging or even when your not actually “playing” softball go play with friends.

You may also want to try one of those weight loss programs, if you think they are right for you. (like nutrisystem) or something.

Just try to live healthier. Not like you have to start eating carrots ALL the time (but a few is good) just eat wheat bread, and drink 100% juice with no added sugar…NO pop. And do NOT EVER skip meals and always eat a healthy breakfast such as toast, natural peanut butter and maybe an apple.

    Hoped it helped.

145 is still considered overweight based on your height…so you need to loose 35 lbs….you can do it in less than 15 weeks with proper diet and exercise…..

reduce 1000 kcal from your daily intake….refrain from drinking sodas and eating empty calorie(junk) foods….be sure you eat protein rich foods….moderate your carbs….but dont starve yourself…you need the energy when you exercise or play softball…..

Many experts say you should not lose many pounds quickly, in fact, this could be very dangerous. The best way to lose weight is slowly and safely, following a balanced diet and a healthy meal plan. You may think that eating fewer times a day will help you lose weight, which is why many people make only one meal a day in hopes of losing all those extra pounds.
However, the result is the opposite because when a person eats only once a day, the body thinks that you want to “kill it” giving it very little food, so that your body triggers a defense mechanism accumulating fat in order to stay alive longer. So eating fewer times per day is not the solution. In fact, what you need to do is schedule small meals several times a day; a good number is around 5. This will keep you happy all the time and your body is constantly receiving nutrients. If you follow these tips may be able to see good results soon.

    Hi Jasmine,

That’s great that your playing softball, make sure to substitute it with some other form of exercise when you stop playing. To lose weight as fast as possible and do it in a healthy way is not as hard as people think. Just cutting SODA and sugary drinks from your diet COMPLETELY is just one awesome way to lose weight fast. That along with the other tips I’m going to share below and you will be on your way to easily losing the weight and keeping it off.

As cliche as it may sound you gotta eat your veggies. They are amazingly good for you, also raw nuts (almonds are best) fruits, and 100% whole grain breads instead of white flours (white flour is very bad for you, read up on it if you get the chance!) Try and stay away from fried foods and fast food as much as possible, and other empty calories and foods that provide you no nutrients, like ice cream/candy/cake etc. Common sense goes a long way with what foods to eat and how to be healthy, so use it 🙂

Building healthy eating habits and keeping the weight off in the long term is what you should really strive for. Also, make sure you don’t count calories, it can drive you CRAZY! Just eat GOOD calories, and when your satisfied, stop eating. Try to eat more meals a day and smaller meals, it really is proven to speed up your metabolism and burn fat way faster. If you mix this in with the other things I’ve shared, you will be on your way to easily losing weight and keeping it off.

Just be persistent, set goals, make little changes and stick with them. You will get to where you want to be. You really have to want it, I did and I’m at my goal weight now. Please check out my blog, I think you will enjoy the information and my weight loss story. The link is below and best of luck hon.

Eat more of fresh fruits, vegetables and raw nuts – you can snack on them too.

Eat a healthy breakfast one, that is high in fiber and low fat(e.g., oatmeal with skim milk) and, don’t skip breakfast; skipping it would slow down your metabolism and may make you gain weight.

A combination of sensible eating and exercise is a good way to lose weight. Aerobic exercises like brisk walking, jogging, bicycling or biking(real or stationary) are good. Exercise boosts body metabolism enabling the body to burn calories even when at rest. Drink plenty of water 8-10 glasses a day.

And, btw, a 1-2 pounds loss of weight a week is healthy, beyond that is not good.
