how can i lose weight fast and boost my metabolism?

im 5’7 and 9.6 stone. i want to go down to 8 stone a bit soon.
i know that the faster your metabolism is the faster your body uses up fat for energy. because ive had an eating disorder my metabolism has hit rock bottom. how can i boost my metabolism so i can lose weight fast?
dieting pills are all a big scam.

    You can’t boost your metabolism and you cannot realistically lose very much weight rapidly and safely.

    Do you see the box near the top of the page?
    The one labelled ‘Search for questions: ‘?
    Well type in ‘lose weight’.
    You will find over 20,000 preexisting questions.
    Try the misspellings ‘loose weight’ and there are another 5,500.
    In all there are over 60,000 Health section questions requesting solutions to being or thinking you might be overweight.
    On average these each yield 6 answers, that is over 360,000 answers.

    I can usefully summarise these answers in 4 words:

    Watch your portion sizes. Opening a bag of rice cakes and eating all of them in one sitting isn’t going to help you lose weight. When eating chips, nuts, or dried fruit put a portion in a small bowl and then put the bag away. That way you won’t mindlessly eat a larger portion than you had intended.
