how can I lose belly fat fast… please read?

I am attending a Luau this weekend, and I want to look good obviously. I joined a gym a few months ago and have going regularly. I am seeing some results but I wanted to know if there was a way to lose my belly fat before the party, even if it was temporary. I read that baby powder and saran wrap will work. My question to this is, how many days before the party should I do this, and how long will it last. Any advice on this would be helpful. I know that working out is the best way to lose the weight, and I am doing that.. just need a quick fix for the weekend, then back to the gym it is.

    Sorry to break it to you, but you won’t loose any more than 6 pounds before the weekend. It’d just be impossible. And also, you need to understand it’ll be mostly water weight, and you’ll gain it back right away. So obviously this is just temporary.
    Some of the “quick diets” I have done from time to time are:
    Fruit Diet-Only fruit for a couple days. Realize this makes you very irritable and have very little energy.
    Vegitarian Diet- Be a vegitarian for a couple of days. This strays you from fat off of meat.
    Protein shake diet-Only protein shakes for a couple days. These keep you pretty energized, they just get boring.
    I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture. I am in no way suggesting these are types of diets to do for longer than a week. Carrying on these diets strip you of so many vitamins, it’s insane.

    In not possible to spot reduce fat in just one part of your body like your belly so to lose belly fat you will need to lose the fat all over your body.

    In short You may need to start:

    Eating healthier, this means:

    Eat smaller meals
    Eat more meals a day
    Don’t starve yourself
    Eat more vegetables and fruit
    Drinks more water
    Less sugars and empty calories (less soft drinks, cakes, cookies)
    Switch to whole wheat versions of your bread and pasta, brown rice instead of white rice

    Exercising:

    Forget crunches, crunches work your ab muscles but they dont burn enough calories to lose belly fat, if you do hundreds of crunches daily you will have great abs but you want see them under your belly fat.
    Prefer full body exercises they burn the most calories and increase you metabolism for a few hours after your workout.
    Get a training partner or a fitness trainer, a very worthwhile investment – of the money you save on junk food for example =)

    Generally:

    Reduce stress
    Get enough sleep
