How can a teen lose weight fast without hurting ourselves?

I dont consider myself fat, just a little over weight, like i got a little stomach, and a little big legs, and that doesnt really bother me, because in the school year, noone sees my stomach or the top of my legs, but they can see my face, and my face is big and fat, and thats not the worst part, i have a little bit of double chin, if i could just get rid of double chin then i would be happy

Im not fat, just a little overweight, and most of that is in my face and neck, how can I lose that double chin and fat cheeks???

    losing “weight” on the scale does not necessarily equate to a substantial decrease in body fat. the body does not transition from a state of fat storage to a state of increasing utilization of fatty acids for use as energy. there is only so much stored fat that the body will utilize for energy in a 24 hr period regardless of the diet/calories or level of exercise. the faster that weight loss occurs the greater the loss of muscle mass there will be. this is why 2-3 lbs a week is recommend.
