Does cycling help loose a lot of fat? How much fat can I loose in a day? Does it get rid of belly fat?

Hi, I want to get a small six pack or at least some muscles around my stomach area. I do not enjoy running much, but I am capable of doing it if it requires loosing the belly fat. My question is: does cycling help me loose belly fat? If yes, how many miles approximately do I need to ride to loose 1 pound of fat? Thanks for all the answers.
