There a5re many studies and diets that suggest different things. When I dieted I did not avoid them, but simply tried to limit the amount of simple carbs (processed sugar) that I consumed. Don’t knock them out completely, good carbs such as veggies are key to a diet. Also lower fat intake and increase protein intake. It worked for me.

18 months ago I managed to lose 48lbs in just 6 months. I had tried various diets in the past. Yes, cut out carborhydrates, also. But unfortunately, as soon as I stopped dieting all the weight would pile back on, plus more.

So I decided to change my lifestyle. I ate a healthy sensible diet and embarked on regular exercise. The results were amazing.

I ate (and still do) lean meats, poultry, fish, eggs, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables (including potatoes, (brown rice, brown pasta, brown bread), making sure I kept them plain and simple. Carborhydrates are actually very low in fat as long as you don’t smother them in butter, cream etc, low fat dairy products, skimmed milk, non sugary cereals.

Kept all junk foods, ready made processed meals, alcohol, and takeaway meals to an absolute minimum. Junk food is just what it says – JUNK. With one added ingredient in – FAT.

Made sure that I MOVED as MUCH as I COULD. EXERCISE will really help to acelerate the weight loss. I now run on a regular basis.

    Good Luck.
