Can you lose fat simply by exercising alot and NOT changing your diet?

If you were to start exercising a lot more, like 2 hours more than you usually do, would you start to lose fat or just build muscle, without changing your diet.

Simply put: i want to lose fat, i dont care about getting muscles, and i dont want to change my diet. is that possible?

Yes, you can, if you’re burning off more calories than you’re taking in. Moderate to strenuous exercise burns fat and also increases your metabolism so you you burn off more of what you eat even when not exercising.

But 2 hours more? Daily? That’s over-overkill. On a weekly basis that’s fine.

Just make sure you’re not eating a lot of fatty, sugary, processed food. Even if you won’t gain weight, you’ll still damage your arteries or make yourself have a higher chance of getting high blood pressure, heart disease, or diabetes.

It would depend on how much you eat. Of course to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you take in. What you plan might work but won’t work nearly as well as cutting back at least a little on what you eat. You don’t have to make a drastic change….just make minor changes.

no because most of weight loss is what you eat, exericse just speeds it up more.

If you want to lose weight and not change your diet, cut back on portion sizes and eat 1200-1400 calories a day

    Mine? 🙂

anytime you use more calories than you ingest you will start burning stored fat.

you shouldn’t exercise for more than 2 hours at a time and always take at least one rest day a week. you can lose fat with just exercising but not as much if you were also dieting.

Unfortunately no, you need to diet in order to loose weight combined with exercise. Exercise speeds up your metabolism and therefore burns off fat. In The biggest Loser Australia the trainer said that to loose weight 25% depends on exercise and 75% depends on the food that you eat. I know there’s so many different temptations out there. If you crave sugar, eat some fruit, if you crave chips then pop some plain popcorn and have it.

You would start to lose fat and gain muscle, but not nearly as much as you would with diet and exercise combined. I don’t know if you want to lose the fat for health reasons or for looks, but if you only exercise you really aren’t doing a whole lot more for your health. Plus, you are going to have be getting the proper nutrients to fuel your body if you plan on working out that much. If you don’t have the right nutrients you may feel fatigued, stomach sick, etc (at least that’s how feel when I dont eat well and then work out). Anyway, sorry for the whole health-nut rant and I hope you were at least able to find the information you need! Best of luck!

Yes you can but how fast you lose wieght will depend on your metabolic rate, some people have a higher metab than others, however to speed the task up you should go on sensible high protein diet diet as well.Another good option would be to take a metab enhancer like Yi-wu tea or an acai berry suplement like acai burn

I suggest you read this article. It has a good method of exercising without having to change your eating habits (although eating healthier is not a bad idea):
