Can creatine monohydrate help in gaining muscle weight and what workout is best for weight gain?

I am 16 and am 143 pounds. I have tried quickmass (weight gainer) religiously three times gaining only a few pounds. I’ve also been doing heavy weight training with little results. I’ve turned to a nitric oxide/ creatine product called xpand. I have been on it for a month with only a three pound increase. I have also been eating a lot to get in my calories. Would creatine monohydrate alone be a better product? Also, what workout can help me gain muscle weight?Light or Heavy weights?

My routine now is triceps, shoulders and chest, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. And Back and arms on tuesday, and Thurday.

Creatine does not give muscle mass but give more strenght to your body and make it stronger to lift heavy weights.

To gain mass you must eat lot eggs, chicken, fish and all animal products.
best of all whey protien powder.

lift very heavy weights excersice but not everyday

I gained about 10 pounds n two weeks

Chest 3 times a week is way to much unless you are on steriods and have super genetics! Creatine however does help your muscles recuperate but I have the feeling you have been reading to much muscle mags? Get rid of the xpand and the other snake oil’s and just use a good protein powder+high calorie foods (6 meals a day) and hit each body part hard once a week with 2-3 days a week doing no weights.

It is not reccomended that people under 18 use creatine. Although there are no definite study results, creatine should only be used by those that are done growing, as it can stunt your growth. It is your personal decision as far as that goes.

If you are trying to gain weight, you should be eating more calories a day than you are burning off (there are many online sources to help you calculate this) and when lifting, you will want to do fewer reps with heavier weights. When you do lots of reps with lighter weights, mostly what that accomplishes is muscle toning.
